Navistar, Inc. Recalls Certain Vehicle Models

January 24th 2012 -

Navistar, Inc. Has announced the voluntary recall of about 338 units of its 2005-2011 International 3200IM and 2007-2011 IC bus due to issues relating to the frame member which can result in the rear brakes dragging, potentially causing overheating and a potential fire. The recalled vehicle models reportedly have a frame member that can end up pinching the rear brake, causing it to drag as a result. This can lead to a fire that may potentially cause property damage, injury, or collision. The recalled vehicle models are part of NHTSA Campaign ID 12V015000. The company will notify vehicle owners to bring the defective vehicle to their local dealer for an inspection and free repair. For more information regarding this vehicle recall, contact the company at 1-800-448-7825.

As a personal injury lawyer san diego, I understand the many risks associated with defective vehicles and hope that this information helps raise awareness about the recalled product.
